About the Job

As the Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for generating high quality new business leads, promote Dropee to the supply chain community and incubate new customers for Dropee, mainly focusing on new and rapidly growing customer relationships. This is done in collaboration with Business Development Managers working with associations, government agencies, and community leaders, as well as with your sales and account management counterparts. We are looking for someone with a passion for supply chain, cloud technology and the ability to drive people in a dynamic environment.  This person will be responsible for leading Malaysia’s Business Development team, helping to define goal criteria, prioritization methodologies, and evolve best practices for the team, drive the team to deliver results and track the teams performance against goals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a team of 7-10 retailers, brands & distributors Business Development Managers across the country. Hire and develop Business Development Managers, provide ongoing coaching, motivation, and training for the team.
  • Monitor the productivity of the team and support team members with their professional development.
  • Capture, track, and advance qualified startup engagements in our CRM lead management system (Salesforce).
  • Ensure team meets quarterly and yearly goals. Guide team members on how to manage key relationships, customer engagement techniques and best practices, setting personal goals and conducting market analysis.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of business, presenting regular accurate reports to management for review.
  • Develop strategic programs and engagement mechanisms with other department managers to make sure the team is efficient and accurate.
  • Accelerate retailers, brands & distributors’ adoption of Dropee services and improve user satisfaction. Ensure the team is following up on opportunities and searching for additional revenue opportunities within the user base.
  • Collaborate with other departments at Dropee on key initiatives.
  • Evangelize the Dropee products and the retailers, brands & distributors use cases within local supply chain ecosystems.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of technology related sales or business development experience.
  • 3+ years management experience in technology sales.
  • Experience of leading, motivating and developing sales and account management teams.
  • Experience in technology and the supply chain ecosystem, engaging suppliers, retail organizations and SME entrepreneurs.
  • Experience in creating, running strategic sales campaigns and success in new account acquisition.
