About the Job

To support the building of a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem by catalysing creativity & innovation for long term nation impact through the execution of the following:

  • Engage and educate the higher education institutions and related communities on the entrepreneurial ecosystem and MaGIC’s role vis a vis other government agency
  • Plan and Monitor outreach programs, initiatives and activities to promote MaGIC programs
  • Manage stakeholders and partnership initiatives involving the higher education institutions and related communities


  • Responsible in overseeing MaGIC Ecosystem Builders Programme which includes planning, execution, recruitment, promotion, activities and engagement with the stakeholders involved nationwide
  • Define and maintain metrics to measure the impact of MaGIC Ecosystem Builders Programme activities and the social media plan
  • Build and foster relationships with MaGIC Ecosystem Builders to stay abreast of their activities and identify campaign opportunities
  • Responsible to engage and foster relationships with stakeholders and partners especially in the higher education institutions and community builders nationwide
  • Responsible to manage partnership programs, including attending meetings and events, prepare Letter of Partnerships, reports, etc
  • Responsible to promote MaGIC initiatives and programs via speaking slots, attend judging panel sessions, etc
  • Responsible to provide guidance, mentoring and coaching to direct reports
  • Responsible to attend to inbound visits to MaGIC especially from higher education institutions and other key stakeholders
  • Provide advisory and manpower support to community outreach programs and activities such as Idea Lab, SPARK, University Startup Challenge
  • Provide manpower support for internal and external marketing events, exhibitions visits, meetings as required
  • Keep up to date with current trends in the local and global startup & entrepreneurial ecosystem developments and initiatives
  • Manage and execute additional initiatives from time to time as agreed with HOD.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in either of the following fields: Business Administration/ Marketing/ Public Relations/ Communications/ Event Management/ or relevant qualifications.
  • At least 5 – 8 years of work experience and 1 year of work experience in a similar role/function
  • Able to travel frequently
  • Experienced in community building initiatives/projects
  • Basic office applications skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Basic content writing skills
  • Project Management skills
  • PR & Marketing skills
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Has familiarity and close contacts with higher education institutions community and community builders nationwide
    • Basic knowledge of the start-up ecosystem would be an added advantage
    • Knowledge on Social Media marketing would be an added advantage
