Responsibilities

  • Assisting and supporting the Programme Director in developing the programme plan and owning the responsibility for the successful execution of the programme. This includes day-to-day aspects (team management, programme governance, company’s SOP);
  • Identifying areas of improvement (programme design, policies & procedures) and leading the development and continuous evolution of the accelerator programme. This includes strategic direction of new MaGIC program(s);
  • Identifying, evaluating and tracking suitable startups for admission into the programme;
  • Executing the overall logistics and programming of the accelerator, including calendar management (mentors, speakers, and events);
  • Planning and controlling the expenditure of the approved budget for the programme;
  • Escalating major programme issues and risks as necessary;
  • Ensuring cross-departmental collaboration to maximise synergistic benefits;
  • Supporting the Executive Director and Programme Director in generating and maintaining relationships with programme partners;
  • Establishing and nurturing strong networks with startups, mentors, sponsors, investors, internal/external partners, stakeholders and other government agencies;

Job Requirements

  • At least a degree from a recognized university
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in some / all of the following: project or programme management, startups entrepreneurship, corporate and stakeholder development or innovation;
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the startup ecosystem within Malaysia, ASEAN and international context and strong interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship, investment and venture capital;
  • Experienced in developing strategies and roadmaps for assigned programme
  • Experienced in programme content curation
  • Demonstrates the ability to work well under pressure, manage programmes through completion, on time and on budget;
  • Ability to connect across startups, investors, corporates and government agencies to deliver integrated strategy for MaGIC;
  • Comfortable with minimal supervision but highly result-driven;
  • Demonstrates ability to lead subordinates, manage work priorities and programme, as well as manage team relations (people-oriented);
  • Strong and clear communicator and attention to detail.
