The Social Entrepreneurship (SE) Masterclass is a 1-day course that provides aspiring and early stage social enterprises with an intensive immersion into the fundamentals of social entrepreneurship to help develop or validate social impact ideas. SE Masterclass is a programme under Malaysia’s Social Inclusion & Vibrant Entrepreneurship (MasSIVE), an initiative by MaGIC that aims to drive social impact through entrepreneurship initiatives that are outward looking and cohesive to relevant ecosystem players.
The truth is, one of our generation’s biggest challenges in society is guiding our whole population through a transition from our current lifestyle to a significantly more sustainable one.
This SE Masterclass will take you through a one-day course that will enable you to learn the basic principles of social entrepreneurship and latest national developments in social entrepreneurship guidelines and benefits.
This Masterclass will provide you with a practical framework to kick-start your vision and moving it into effective action. The modules curated and designed in this Masterclass draws from the extensive experiences as well as wisdom from the country’s leading professionals, social entrepreneurs and start-up gurus. The goal of the Masterclass is to lead YOU through endless possibility that abound when you can grasp your inner potential to make tangible social, environmental or developmental changes to the planet.

Since the launch in late 2016, Grub Cycle has reduced almost 10,000 kilograms from being thrown to waste while helping customers save up to RM75,000. Grub Cycle has also raised a few rounds of grants and investments worth USD250,000 while gaining the support from Mountain Partners, 1337 Ventures and multiple government agencies, along with winning awards at the Alliance BizSmart Challenge 2016 and Alipay NUS Enterprise Challenge 2019.
In 2018, Redza has been selected as the only representative from Malaysia at the Australia-Asean Emerging Leaders Program where he had the opportunity to join in a roundtable discussion with Australia’s Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull. Besides that, Redza also had the chance to pitch at St James Palace to represent Malaysia at Pitch at Palace in conjunction of Commonwealth Head of Government Meetings.
Min Chia is the Community builder at PichaEats. With a background of food science, she decided to explore F&B company with sustainability. PichaEats is an award-winning social enterprise, with the co-founders having bagged Forbes 30 under 30 Asia 2018, Allianz Future Generations Award, Chivas The Venture Top 5 finalist. It was founded as a way for refugees in Malaysia to earn a sustainable income through a food catering and delivery business. Having been here since the beginning of the company as a volunteer, up to internship and full-timer, she can vouch that there’s no better way to bring people together and raise awareness than through yummy meals.
