The Social Entrepreneurship (SE) Masterclass is a 1-day course that provides aspiring and early stage social enterprises with an intensive immersion into the fundamentals of social entrepreneurship to help develop or validate social impact ideas. SE Masterclass is a programme under Malaysia’s Social Inclusion & Vibrant Entrepreneurship (MasSIVE), an initiative by MaGIC that aims to drive social impact through entrepreneurship initiatives that are outward looking and cohesive to relevant ecosystem players.

The truth is, one of our generation’s biggest challenges in society is guiding our whole population through a transition from our current lifestyle to a significantly more sustainable one.

This SE Masterclass will take you through a one-day course that will enable you to learn the basic principles of social entrepreneurship and latest national developments in social entrepreneurship guidelines and benefits.

This Masterclass will provide you with a practical framework to kick-start your vision and moving it into effective action. The modules curated and designed in this Masterclass draws from the extensive experiences as well as wisdom from the country’s leading professionals, social entrepreneurs and start-up gurus. The goal of the Masterclass is to lead YOU through endless possibility that abound when you can grasp your inner potential to make tangible social, environmental or developmental changes to the planet.

At the end of the SE Masterclass, participants will be able to:

  • Learn about the challenges of building a global enterprise

Fadilah Nizar

Founder and President, Johor Empowerment of Intellectual Women Association (JEIWA)

CEO, JEIWA Global Resources

As the Recipient of Johor Chief Police Appreciation Letter 2017 and nominated as Johor Women Icon 2018, Fadilah started her career as a Administrative & Diplomatic Officer (PTD) in various Ministries for Government of Malaysia. She joined the GLCs in 2013. In March 2017, she decided to focus on women empowerment initiatives in Malaysia through JEIWA
(Johor Empowerment of Intellectual Women Association), an NGO that has been credited for its uniqueness and high impact programmes.

JEIWA is the first of its kind that gathered professional women to share and seek help for their silence sufferings. JEIWA targets to shape women towards self-development, high productivity and creativity, being highly skilled, with a penchant for leadership and able to contribute to national development. She understands truly the hardships, struggles and
challenges faced by women who lived in abusive relationships and pledge to help women who dream to have new lives. She has managed to empower women through their potentials and attracts volunteers to do community and charity works.

She is an expert in diplomatic relations, cultural studies, strategic partnership, marketing, and public speaking. Fadilah always has the passion to contribute to the community and despite her family is a business-oriented family, she chose to do community work as a hobby turned career.

Excellent in her academic and curriculum activities, she has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the International Islamic University (IIUM) and a Master in Southeast Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore (NUS).

She is in preparation for PHD Programmes specialising on Individual Skill-based Volunteerism in Malaysia and a prominent speaker on the same issues in Malaysia. She is currently the CEO of JEIWA Global Resources, a Social Enterprise that focus to empower
women in urban area.
