Grill or Chill (GoC) is a platform for startups to showcase their product and get valuable feedback from experts in the startup ecosystem. Each GoC ends with a networking session where you can mingle and connect with other entrepreneurs in a cozy environment.
October theme is Blockchain. Blockchain is resistant to modification of the data. It is an open, distributed ledger that can record transactions between two parties efficiently and in a verifiable and permanent way.For use as a distributed ledger, a blockchain is typically managed by a peer-to-peer network collectively adhering to a protocol for inter-node communication and validating new blocks.

Jasmine Ng is the Director of Investments and Special Project at NEM Malaysia, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of NEM io Foundation. NEM.io Foundation is a non-profit IT foundation that owns the NEM blockchain technology. They are pioneers of an open source & community based blockchain technology that is now used by enterprises, universities, and governments utilising advanced cryptography in executing transactions that spans across the internet. She is also the co-founder and advisor to EPIC Homes (a social enterprise that builds houses for the poor).
In Jasmine’s last assignment in the banking industry, she was head of Group Digital, Strategic Digital Alliances and Project Management Office for Maybank Group. Amongst her functions, she use to oversee the bank’s strategic digital alliances like AliPay and Samsung Pay, implementation of the bank’s digital projects and was instrumental in the launches of Maybank Pay, Samsung Pay and AliPay for the banking group.
Jasmine has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector. Her senior level assignments include the setting up of corporate & consumer financial services contact centres, credit card merchant businesses, overseeing the card business regionalisation programmes, creating alliances with synergies for organisations and providing consultancy to the C-suites.
Jasmine loves to share her passion for business through her roles as mentor, investor and active business consultant to various startups that operate in the hospitality, waste management and social enterprise businesses. She is very attached to her values and believes strongly in economic empowerment through business. She believes strongly in investing in the youth of today by helping them to maximise their individual potential for the future. Jasmine is also a co-founder of a social enterprise called EPIC Homes which focuses on building relationships between the urban and rural divide through the activity of building homes for under privileged Malaysians.
Mohd Harris Ismail has been actively involved in the implementation of MMC (IBS) & BIM in Malaysia. His passion in advocating BIM is translated into his active involvement in providing BIM consultancy and coaching to the industry while being an IBS system provider & contractor. He speaks at various international and local events, such as GeoSmart Asia Conference 2016 & 2017, RICS International BIM Conference 2015 & 2017, BIM Day 2014 to 2016, series of Lectures by PAM and many more. He is also being recognized by BIM Institute of Malaysia as the BIM Level 2 Coach and Trainer.
He is currently the BIM Checker and BIM Consultant for several Mega Projects in Malaysia, one of which is Parcel F Development in Putrajaya and PanBorneo Highway, Sarawak. Apart from that he is BIM Fundamental & Process Trainer for Gamuda Bhd (Group) and is appointed as internal BIM coach for KLCC Projeks S/B. Through this role, he is able to advocate further, the “Correct BIM” implementation in ensuring efficiency in project delivery.
He is also heavily involved in innovating IBS Low-Cost housing solution for the B40 community in Malaysia. He collaborated with the Ministry of Finance in providing homes for hundreds of families in Malaysia through his unique IBS solution, known as HyperBIM costs <RM40,000/unit.
