This course will expose you to the basics of developing applications using Augmented Reality (AR) technologies.
Through hands-on activities, you will learn practical techniques to prototype applications with ease – even with no previous coding experience.
The session will cover an introduction on AR technology applications and hands-on basic tutorials on how to develop image recognition and face recognition applications. AR is the most effective technology in providing real-time and real-world view information to users, where advancements in smart devices are expected to trigger various new AR services.

Dendi Permadi is a virtual, augmented and mixed reality application developer. He is currently teaching the Virtual Reality Program at the Faculty of Creative Multimedia, Multimedia University, Cyberjaya. He is also an Immersive Applications Consultant for Virtareal Sdn Bhd and Spark Capital Development Berhad (SCDB) Malaysia. He obtained his Bachelors of Multimedia (Hons) from Universiti Utara Malaysia, Masters of Science in Creative Multimedia at Multimedia University and attended a postgraduate course at Inje University, Gimhae South Korea. Prior to his appointment, he was a Unity3D Programmer at WR Media Sdn Bhd, Indie Game Developer called Whitekites Games, Web Application Programmer at Taukala Sdn Bhd and Research Assistant at Multimedia University. His research interest are in the field of virtual, augmented and mixed reality, user engagement as well as games design and development.
